Holidays

Okay - well things have been 'unusual' around here for the last couple of months - hence the dearth of new posts. But here are some pictures from that time period. We hope that things in our household will return to 'normal' soon and that we will be back to our regulary scheduled posting...thanks to everyone for all your support and we hope to have good news to spread soon.

Lucia - with her crooked, little smile @ 4 months.

Jack enjoying the big trucks that put in our new driveway.
Jack and Mama on Halloween - Jack's in my old costume - made and saved by Abuelita Kitty.

Jack's future is so VERY bright - he needs to wear 3 pairs of shades!

Look - they do like eachother!

Jack's Thanksgiving dinner consisted of olives and pickles.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Sorry that it has been so long since our last post. Time is just flying by lately. Lucia is now 3 months old and actually slept through the night for the last 2 nights!! We are crossing our fingers that it continues. She is also managing to hold and shake her rattle - all with the left hand - so we may have a Southpaw afterall. Jack is keeping us busy as usual. He is a bundle of 2 year old energy - both the good and the bad. He is now capable of holding simple conversations for anyone who wants to give him a call and find out what he is eating or playing with at the moment. Here are some pictures from the last month.

Yes she can definately see you now.
Starting to look like the old man snoozing on the couch!

Jack likes a view when he drinks his milk.
Family gym time.

The ladies.

Holding hands? This may be future blackmail material.

Lucia always finds something to laugh at these days.

Girl's clothes sure are pretty.

Back to School

Well, Dad and Mom have to go back to work on Monday. Which means I am going to have to behave as one of them will always have their hands full. Below you will find some pictures of my 2nd birthday party (thanks for all the gifts!) and of Lucia's smile, which has become a lot easier to capture. Hope all are well.

6 weeks with Lucia

Things here are just chugging along...only 3 more weeks until school starts for the parents - eek! Lucia is starting to smile more readily and Jack is still wearing his 'helmet' almost everywhere. Here are a few pictures to demonstrate:

Moving on up

Lucia is now just over a month old and weighs in at 9 pounds 1 ounce. Everyone here is doing fine. Jack still calls Lucia "Baby Cia" and still likes to pat her head, but after a visit from Cousin Elke, he is ready for her to grow up already and start playing with him. Here are some photos from the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!

Hey there, Mama!

Helmets Required!!

A Chain of Cousins!

Cousin Elke is a sitting superstar!

Having another baby around sure does wear everyone out!!

Quick - Baby Lucia's eyes are open...

Not for long however.

Many thanks for all the kind wishes and we hope to be in touch as soon as possible...

1:55AM on June 19th

Here's a little story. 9PM on June 18th my mama - Kat - has major contractions about an hour after I - Jack - go to bed. Before I wake up to watch Handy Manny and the Happy Monster Band, I've got a NEW SISTER!! At 1:55Am, Lucia Renée Meyler was born. She's cute and I love her. Enjoy some pictures as Baby "see - a," big brother and family get some rest.

Smooch

Nice facility - we just wanted out of there though!!!

Hungry, hungry hippo

Unfortunately, Lucia is a bit jaundice and like brother Jack we need the bili blanket for a day or two. "Don't call me yella!!"(Cue the Black Sabbath song...) I am IRONGIRL - de, de, dena, den, dena, dena, dena, den

Grandparents escape the Texas heat

Greetings and Salutations!

I just wanted to leave you all a quick update as my mama is getting really close to having my sibling. The due date is June 30th, but no one seems to think the new baby will hold on that long. Note: this is why there are only 12 more days to participate in the Baby Meyler #2 poll in the column to your right. We'll keep the blog as updated as possible. For now, enjoy some colorful pictures of Springtime in Milwaukee.

Grandma and Grandpa Meyler were up for a visit.

We relaxed and had some good times.

The grandparents scored with the Mickey Mouse hat.
Have a great day!

Sorry for the delay

Well, Mom and Dad have been very busy with the end of the semester and incubating my sibling so they apologize that it has taken this long to update the blog. I have been busy too - climbing on everything I can find, going out to WA to meet my cousin, Elke, formulating sentences and meeting Abbie and Fox!! Below are some pictures from the last month or so. Hope you enjoy them.

Blog Updates

As you may have noticed by now my Dad went ahead and made a few changes to the blog format... in preparation for the new arrival at the end of June!

He's changed the color scheme, updated my/our profile and added a few new links.
You can now cast your vote for the gender of my sibling - the "days left" ends pretty much on the due date.

And if you so wish, you can check out the wishlists for the new baby under "Cool Links".

Have fun browsing!

Happy Easter

Here I am on Easter Morning. Watching the chicks hop around with the bunnies.

I invited Mama into my house...but soon regretted it as she is now too big to even get in the door.

And here I am enjoying the 15 inches of snow we received on Friday. Mom and Dad hope it's the last of the season, but I love it!!
