1:55AM on June 19th

Here's a little story. 9PM on June 18th my mama - Kat - has major contractions about an hour after I - Jack - go to bed. Before I wake up to watch Handy Manny and the Happy Monster Band, I've got a NEW SISTER!! At 1:55Am, Lucia Renée Meyler was born. She's cute and I love her. Enjoy some pictures as Baby "see - a," big brother and family get some rest.

Smooch

Nice facility - we just wanted out of there though!!!

Hungry, hungry hippo

Unfortunately, Lucia is a bit jaundice and like brother Jack we need the bili blanket for a day or two. "Don't call me yella!!"(Cue the Black Sabbath song...) I am IRONGIRL - de, de, dena, den, dena, dena, dena, den

Grandparents escape the Texas heat

Greetings and Salutations!

I just wanted to leave you all a quick update as my mama is getting really close to having my sibling. The due date is June 30th, but no one seems to think the new baby will hold on that long. Note: this is why there are only 12 more days to participate in the Baby Meyler #2 poll in the column to your right. We'll keep the blog as updated as possible. For now, enjoy some colorful pictures of Springtime in Milwaukee.

Grandma and Grandpa Meyler were up for a visit.

We relaxed and had some good times.

The grandparents scored with the Mickey Mouse hat.
Have a great day!

Sorry for the delay

Well, Mom and Dad have been very busy with the end of the semester and incubating my sibling so they apologize that it has taken this long to update the blog. I have been busy too - climbing on everything I can find, going out to WA to meet my cousin, Elke, formulating sentences and meeting Abbie and Fox!! Below are some pictures from the last month or so. Hope you enjoy them.

Blog Updates

As you may have noticed by now my Dad went ahead and made a few changes to the blog format... in preparation for the new arrival at the end of June!

He's changed the color scheme, updated my/our profile and added a few new links.
You can now cast your vote for the gender of my sibling - the "days left" ends pretty much on the due date.

And if you so wish, you can check out the wishlists for the new baby under "Cool Links".

Have fun browsing!

Happy Easter

Here I am on Easter Morning. Watching the chicks hop around with the bunnies.

I invited Mama into my house...but soon regretted it as she is now too big to even get in the door.

And here I am enjoying the 15 inches of snow we received on Friday. Mom and Dad hope it's the last of the season, but I love it!!

Time to start sharing

Mom and Dad have informed me that this burgeoning belly means things are going to change around here. And that this "baby" really is inside there and will be here in just a few months. But until then, I am still the baby around here and am darn cute if I may say so myself in my hat, which I have refused to take off for over a week now!!

come and take our snow away

The snow keeps piling up outside the Meyler household, but we're trying to survive.

Above I'm hanging with my moms and "chap-o." Below is the snow falling on our neighbor's tree. Pretty.

Here I am after digging out of the snow. I don't know if this stuff will ever melt...
I hope you all had an enjoyable Valentine's Day. My dada made heart-shaped pancakes for the grand occasion. Yum.

Chaplin used to strike this pose when he was a puppy - long before Jack was around, so there must just be something attractive about Jason's legs...

a kid and his second dog

Here's a shameless post to get our friends out to visit. Jack still loves the real dog - Chaplin - more, but this one's a great substitute!! Hope all are well.

We're back and celebrating the New Year

We had a very Merry Christmas and the New Year is already full of excitement. First and foremost, we're celebrating the safe and healthy arrival of Elke Stanley Sander (my cousin and my parents' first niece). Check out her blog on the right hand side.

an update - sorry for the delay!

Here I am with my moms and a hand made hat that was delightfully comfortable.

Halloween time was special and this year I was a rebellious little punk rock boy. Finish the line, 'just you and me...'

Back to being cute...

I lounge after the punk rock concerts.

To all long-haired punk rock kids a hair cut is in store. (This was my first and my parents said that I behaved great!)

Three bad boys hangin' inside while the temp's take a dive outside.

2 Months of Changes...I've been busy

Mom and Dad want to apologize for the long absence. They say they have been "busy", with the new semester, painting the house and taking care of me...but I've been busy too. Since my last entry, I have learned to walk, run, climb and talk in two languages. Now who has been busier?
You will find some pictures from the last couple of weeks below and Mom and Dad will post a few funny stories soon. I love and miss you all, Jack.

Blowing out the candle!!

Yummmm....Cake

Boxes rule!!

Chillin' with G-Ma Meyler.

Helping Mom clean up the office.

Learning how to be punk rock.

And play the drums.

Helping with the school work.

Taking a break with Chaps and Mom.

Learning about the Monos at the zoo.

Can't we go on another walk, PLEASE?

An odyssey of more than 4000 miles

PheW! We all survived the car ride(s) from Milwaukee, WI to Ellensburg, WA to Richland, WA to Sequim, WA and back. Here are some highlights...

Corn. Miles and Miles of Corn. (and some soy)
All seen from the luxury of the backseat with Chaplin and Parents in tow.

Got to see the beautiful Columbia River and the Gorge.
And arrived happy and very ready to play at Aunt Maggie's and Uncle Dustin's

Enjoyed my first limo ride. Sweet!!

Partied down with the relatives at the wedding.
And spent some time with Mom and Dad at the Vineyard.

Saw Uncle Mack and Aunt BB get married AND eat cake!

Made some cool, new friends.

Enjoyed the view from the Grandparent's deck.
Met my Uncle Jeff.
And discovered the blackberry patch with a little help from Mom.
And saw much more corn on the way home.
